“Temptation”

This original pencil drawing is highly detailed and abounding with symbolism. It was created as a preliminary concept for a future painting. In the drawing, four major temptations are represented. Those who have fallen prey are represented by death and imprisonment. This is symbolized by appearing as mummies hidden behind the vertical cloths which imprison them.
